How to delete pages from a PDF
- Choose the PDF. Drop it onto the box or click to select it. Thumbnails of all pages appear.
- Mark pages. Click every page you want to remove; it turns red with a cross. Click again to keep it. Mark every 2nd page is handy for scans with blank back sides.
- Save. Click Delete pages and save. The remaining pages are saved as a new PDF in the original order.
What stays the same
The pages you keep are not changed at all. Text stays selectable, links keep working, and images and fonts keep their quality. Usually the file also gets smaller, because content that only the removed pages used is dropped.
Typical uses
- Removing blank back sides from a double-sided scan.
- Deleting pages with personal data before sharing a document, such as bank details or a signature page.
- Dropping cover pages, ads or appendices from a downloaded report.
- Removing duplicate pages after merging several files.
Example
A 20-page double-sided scan contract.pdf where every second page is blank: click Mark every 2nd page, check that pages 2, 4, 6 and so on are marked, and save. You get contract-edited.pdf with 10 pages.
Delete or extract?
Deleting is quicker when you want to drop a few pages from a long document. If you only need a few pages out of many, it can be easier to pick the pages you want to keep with Split PDF in Extract pages mode.
Privacy
Your PDF is processed in your browser with pdf.js and pdf-lib. It is never uploaded and nothing is stored, which matters when the reason for deleting pages is private data.
Pages the wrong way round? Rotate PDF fixes them. File too large afterwards? Try Compress PDF.

Can I delete several pages at once?
